Kilconquhar Castle A/V Hire

We screened a weekly film over the Summer for Kids, and supplied equipment for several Corporate conferences.

Some of this activity brought a substantial sum of cash into the Cinema’s coffers…

And what we spent it on…

Shortly after our last official screening of Season 6, we decided to run some Audio tests in the hall. As you will all know, we’ve never been entirely happy with the quality and intelligibility of the sound, and we’ve tried various things over the years to improve it.

After a lot of research, we came up with a series of tests to try to confirm what we’d learned. Initial analysis of the results tends to confirm our research, and we have invested in  some additional equipment which we’ll be using in season 7.

We look forward to hearing your comments.

Future Escapades

Later this month we’ll be running training courses teaching young people how to run a community cinema – they’ll use the skills to show films during the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival (SMHAFF) later this year.
