15 06 2014

June 20th “Sunshine on Leith” 7.00* @ Colinsburgh Town Hall

** Please Note the earlier than normal start time**

This film is outwith our published programme and is FREE! But there is a catch…Prior to the screening, we will be running Sound Tests in the hall, and we need your assistance. We need you to watch and listen to several film clips and fill out a short questionnaire. During the tests, which will last approximately 40 minutes, we will be  experimenting with  several alternative audio configurations, and we need your subjective assessments of what you hear. These assessments will help us to reconfigure our audio system for best dialogue reproduction throughout the hall next season.

That’s it – simple…

…and as a reward, you’ll get a FREE screening of “Sunshine on Leith”.

Two Scottish soldiers return from Afghanistan, home to Leith  to the warm embrace of their families...

“Sunshine on Leith” is based on the sensational stage hit of the same name, featuring music by pop-folk band The Proclaimers. The film follows the stories of Davy and Ally, who have to re-learn how to live life in Edinburgh after coming home from serving in Afghanistan. Both struggle to learn to live a life outside the army and to deal with the everyday struggles of family, jobs and relationships.
