As it’s a bit bleak and miserable outside today, thought we’d give you the heads up on some upcoming events that you might be interested in…

TONIGHT!: Thursday 28th July

Raise The Roof 2: Billy Anderson Ceilidh + King Creosote DJ

A.I.A. Presents RAISE THE ROOF 2 @ The Hew Scott Hall, High Street West, Anstruther
A “Save the Halls” fundraising ceilidh featuring the Teuchtery talents of:Mr BILLY ANDERSON(that’s King Creosote’s dad to you) And if that’s not enough… our homegrown DeeJays will mop the floor with you afterwards.The hooha starts at 8pm so dinna be late! Come along early and get into the spirit of things.

PS There’ll be a drinks and nibbles bar so you can save your Irn Bru and tablet for a rainy day.It’s sure to be a braw nicht ye ken!

Khartoum Heroes@the Pittenweem Festival – Thursday 10th August

Khartoum Heroes & the Fence CollectiveLocal and now international musical wunderkinds with reformed (re-formed?) band and guests.

HAARFEST – 11th -14th August

Fence Records is holding its 2nd annual HaarFest event across 4 days in August – Thursday 11th until Sunday 14th.   During the afternoons, there’ll be workshops & walks taking place throughout the towns of Anstruther and Cellardyke; and each evening there’ll be a gig at the Cellardyke Town Hall.Until now, we’ve only made ‘Season Tickets‘ available to purchase in advance – which allow access to all four evenings of entertainment (including a special dinner, Sunday tea-time).   These are still available to purchase from the Fence website, priced at £65 – although places are going fast …

Tickets are priced at £15 each, for over 18′s only.  The music starts at 8pm each night, with live music stopping at 12midnight, and the bar closing by 1am.  There is no postage charge on these individual tickets, as – upon purchase – they will be reserved under your name at the ticket desk of the venue.
